The winners of the Cabinet Makers Association’s Wood Diamonds awards program were announced during the 2022 International Woodworking Fair, held in August. The awards honor and promote the work of CMA members.

“The Wood Diamond Awards have given us a chance to see and showcase the amazing work of our members,” says CMA executive director Amanda Conger. “Our members don’t always get a chance to see each other’s finished work, and the added bonus is that the award-winning work can inspire other shops.”

The best overall award went to Letendre Custom Woodworks in Hobe Sound, Fla. for a home office with a double desk and custom wall panels made from hickory with a stained finish.

The CMA was incorporated in 1998 by a group of custom cabinetmakers who thought the industry’s smaller shops needed to network and help each other grow profitably. Currently, CMA membership is made up primarily of 20 or fewer employee operations, with most being one- to five-person shops.
